Step One
Complete your Purchase of a Letterbox subscription
After completing checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the order details. If you purchased a My Letterbox subscription, you’ll receive an email with the questionnaire that helps us choose your next great read. If you’ve purchased a Letterbox as a gift, don’t worry. We’ll send a gift notice on the date you selected and take care of it from there!
Step Two
Send a Gift Notice Email
If you’ve purchased a gift, a gift notice email will be sent to the recipient’s email on the date you provided during checkout. If you purchased a My Letterbox gift subscription, the link to their questionnaire will be in the gift notice.
Step Three
Select a Book
Book selections are made by our curator for each genre each month. If you purchased a My Letterbox subscription, we’ll find the perfect book for you based on what we learn about you in the Questionnaire.
Step Four
Write the Letter
A hand-written letter accompanies every Letterbox, telling you why we selected the book
Step Five
Write the Gift Note
If you purchased a gift and elected for us to send your recipient a gift note, we will handwrite your message with your words and include it in your recipient’s package. This gift note is in addition to the gift email.
Step Six
Add a Bookmark
All Letterboxes receive a lovely bookmark with every shipment.
Step Seven
Prepare the Package
Lovely, retro, you-know-you’re-getting-something-special packages are carefully and thoughtfully prepared.
Step Eight
Ship
Shipping costs are included in all subscriptions. All packages ship on the 15th of the month.

My Letterbox
Every My Letterbox subscription begins with a questionnaire, specifically designed by our curator to suss out the next book you won’t be able to put down. It’s not a test you study for, and the more you tell us, the better our selections will be.
Genres
Sometimes only a mystery will do (or a book about Steel Magnolias, dragon princesses, or ultra-marathoning). We get that. We offer Letterbox subscriptions in a variety of genres, digging deep into our shelves for the titles you might have missed or haven’t heard of yet.
