Our favorite way to welcome the new year is with the annual M. Judson Reading Challenge. This year, we’re curating a spectacular package of books to fit the bill, so you can join in from anywhere! With this Letterbox, you (or your favorite reader) will receive one paperback book in line with our monthly prompts in their mailbox, complete with a letter that explains why we think it’s a great book and a great answer to that month’s challenge (for example: Road Trips could mean anything from reading a guide to the best road trips in Iceland, or reading The Grapes of Wrath– because both are road trips!).
We’ll host programming at the bookstore each month to expand upon what we’re reading, like famed literary salons of old. Our first reading Challenge Salon Series is set for January 17th: movie trivia!
At the end of the year, as always, we’ll plan a big party to celebrate and draw a winner for a big bag of books and a gift certificate!
